State of Maharashtra that changed the face of the India judicial system. Rustom is an upcoming Bollywood film written by Vipul K Rawal and directed by Tinu Suresh Desai. It features Akshay Kumar and Ileana D'Cruz in the lead roles. It is based on the real life incident of Naval Officer K.M. Nanavati. 'Rustom' will release on August 12, 2016.

The much-awaited trailer of the film, 'Rustom' is out now. Set in the glorious era of the '50s, the trailer offers a glimpse into the world that naval officer, RustomPavri, inhabited.
The trailer claims that the film is inspired by true incidents and that Rustom's trial led to the end of the jury system in India. Rustom is the story of Naval Officer KM Nanavati, who murdered his wife’s lover Prem Ahuja and subsequently turned himself in. In the film, Akshay plays Rustom Pavri, who killed his wife’s lover and Ileana D’Cruz stars as Akshay’s wife. The lover who is murdered has been named Vikram Makhija in the film.
